NEWARK, MO.
The funeral of Mrs. Georgia Holt was held at the Presbyterian church Friday morning. Her pastor, Rev. Wm. H. Allyn, pastor of the M. E. church, conducted the service. Mrs. Holt's death was not, unexpected as she had been ill for months. She was 80 years and 9 months old and her long life was one of usefulness. She was a faithful Christian and devoted to Sunday school and church work and the W. C. T. U. She leaves two children, Dr. Sam Holt and Miss Joie Holt. Her daughter has been her faithful home maker and helper. Mrs. Holt leaves one sister, Mrs Wm Lear besides a host of other relatives and friends. The floral offerings were many and included a beautiful wreath of carnations from the Rebekah lodge of which Miss Joie is a member and officer. The pallbearers were members of the lodge. A good woman has gone from our midst and the bereaved ones have the sympathy of the community.
