Lenora was born to William "Bob" Longan and Carrie (Wyrick) Longan and was a lifetime resident of Ottawa County. She attended school at Wyandotte and graduated in 1933. She also attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

On September 26, 1936, Lenora and Ben Angel were married in Neosho, Missouri. They were the parents of one son, Robert. In 1960, she married Glen Collins. Robert passed away in a car accident in 1974.

Lenora was a member of the First Christian Church in Commerce and was a member and past worthy matron of Fairland Chapter No. 194 of Eastern Stars. In 1995 she received her 50-year membership pin from the Grand Chapter of Eastern Stars.

Her mother: Carrie Wyrick Longan, was divorced from her father in the early 1930's. In 1940 she was living in Bakersfield, CA, with her other children, Troy and Deretha Maxine. In 1940, Carrie was listed as "Betty" and a widow. Her spouse was W. H. Nevins.

Her sister: Deretha Maxine Fields, born August 7, 1920, and died May 10, 1988, in Santa Cruz.
