MINORU "MINO" YONEMURA was the oldest son of Tameki Yonemura and Kiku Imamura. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1904, two years after his parents had immigrated from Japan. In 1905, the family moved on to Riverside, CA where Mino grew up. There were 4 sisters and 2 brothers born in Riverside. He graduated from Riverside Community College. As a young man, before World War II, Mino moved to Los Angeles where he taught Japanese at the YMCA.
Mino became ill in 1938 and was not able to work the rest of his life. After his parents died, he lived with his sister Yoshi and her family. He died on the family farm in 1978.
