Ben Lewis was the son of George William Lewis and Olena Dorthea Kempe Lewis. He married Barbara Rae Wootton October 4, 1944.

He is survived by his wife, five children, Linda J. Lewis, Stephen Lewis, James Lewis, Mary Anne Turner (Judd), John Lewis (LaCinda, 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
