Dr. Thomas Denton Geoghegan married Maria Louise Young December 9, 1833. Dr. Geoghegan practiced medicine in West Point for many years and lived in a house facing public square which was later know as the Sheets or Atkins place. Both are buried in the Young cemetery. Their children were Thomas Leslie, Ann Maria, James Edward, Clarence and Nathan Oscar Geoghegan.
