Herman H. Atkins, age 53, of New Tazewell was born March 4, 1949 and passed away March 16, 2002 at the University of Tennessee Hospital.

He was a member MCM Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Leola Atkins; brothers: Harry and L.B. Atkins.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law: Dewey and Ellen Atkins of Painesville, Oh. , Don Atkins of New Tazewell, Dan and Susie Mae Atkins of New Tazewell; sisters: Marie J. Atkins Nunn of Monroe, Mi., Lorraine Atkins Widner Hartwick of Bellevue, Oh.. Mary Lou Atkins of Marion. Va.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. March 20 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Simmons officiating. Songs by the Liberty Quartet. Burial in the Drummonds Cemetery . Pallbearers: poug Edwards. Mike Widner, Sonny and Earl Robertson, Dwight and Randy Smith. Coffey Funeral Home in charge.
