Patrick J. Cassalia Sr., 93, of Syracuse, passed away Friday after a brief illness. Born in Syracuse he was a US Army Veteran of WWII. Pat was involved in the family business, Syracuse Barber & Beauty Supply for over 65 years. He was a man of deep faith and an active communicant of St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church, a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society, the Holy Name Society and was an usher. Pat was also on the building committee for St. Brigid's Church and Bishop Ludden High School. He was predeceased by his wife, Vivian; son, Michael; and brothers, Jack and David. Survivors: two daughters, Dennise (John) Tatusko, Christine Barry; daughter-in-law, Jane Massey; five sons, Patrick Jr. (Carol), Charles (Susan), Donald (Linda), Gerald (Diane), Robert; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid & St. Joseph Food Pantry, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
