The IPC was a shipping company that ran tugboats on the Delaware river. It was founded in 1895 by my great-grandfather, Emil Meyle(Oliver's father-in-law). It was operated originally under the name of E. Meyle. In 1909 the company was incorporated as The Independent Pier Company.
