BLUEFIELD — Kathy Mae Harmon, age 61, of Mercer Continuous Care and Rehab in Bluefield, WV died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 15, 1952, in Lamar, WV, she was a daughter of the late Elijah Daniel and Hazel Annie Hudgins Breeden. She had lived in Mercer County all of her life and was a loved and devoted mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Lee Harmon, Jr.
Survivors include: Sons: Shaun Harmon and wife Christina of Rock, WV, Sam Gilbert Haines City, FL, Stuart Gilbert of Mudrow, OK. Daughter: Geneva Howerton and husband Benny of Lashmeet, WV. Brothers: George Breeden of Bluefield, WV, Daniel "Buddy" Breeden of Matoaka, WV. Sisters: Marguarite Williams of North Carolina, Lottie Gibson of Virginia, Maxine Gibson of Dacula, GA; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Bejay Forbes. Her final resting place will be the Shelton's Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.
