Child of God, Honorable Man, Phenomenal Husband, Perfect Daddy, Devoted PaDad, Loyal Son, Loving Uncle, Hilarious Cousin, And A True Friend.

Wife: Margaret "Peggy" Ann Luke

This man is OUR FATHER and also "OUR HERO!!"

He wasn't given any awards in life, no medals, and no public recognition. He certainly deserved some kind of recognition, for his actions taken in someone's hour of need - He helped so many people in life! No, he wasn't looking for anything special-he was just doing what any honorable man would do in like circumstances in life. This man is OUR DADDY and also OUR HERO.

Lonnie was a gentle giant. A man of few words, and when he would speak everyone would stop and listen. Lonnie hardly ever raised his voice in life but when he did it was to grab someone's attention. He was slow to anger and loved unconditionally. He was selfless, generous to a flaw, and he never turned anyone away he believed to be in need. Lonnie worked hard his entire life, and attended Church faithfully. His favorite color was blue. He loved Old Spice Cologne, Peppermint Candy, Ford (New "Model A" Introduced In North America December 2, 1927 the day Lonnie was born), spending time outside with Nature/God, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren. He got his naturally curly hair from his beautiful Mother Bertha Chaney Luke. He was very dedicated to his Mother that died when he was 17 years old. Lonnie was running on foot to get the Dr when his Mother passed away while giving birth to his baby brother Luther. He never got over his Mother's passing his entire life.

Lonnie taught his children God comes first, then family, always keep YOUR word, people prove themselves by their actions, NOT to hate, NOT to teach their children to hate, don't be a bully, don't allow anyone to be bullied in front of you, and FORGIVENESS IS FOR EVERYONE!!! HE WAS AN HONORABLE MAN. Lonnie's integrity, courage, dedication to family, and morals was passed on to all of his children and children he raised that wasn't his biological children. When bad things happened in life he would say "It's time to circle the wagons." Family was Lonnie's everything in life. He will be missed but never forgotten. Lonnie loved Jesus his Lord and Savior.

Lonnie passed in the arms of his wife Peggy, surrounding him was his children, and his grandchildren.

Cause of death emphysema.

They who knew him best, Will bless his name, And keep his memory dear, While life shall last.
