Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Edmund "Eddie" Joseph Krych, age 94 of Holdingford at the Church of All Saints - St. Hedwig in Holdingford. Father Gregory Mastey will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the mass. Eddie died unexpectedly at St. Benedicts Senior Community Thursday evening with family at his side.

Eddie was born October 3rd 1919 on a farm in Morrison County near Harding to Joseph and Agnes (Gallus) Krych. He married Rita Pintok on June 27, 1944 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic church in Opole. He has lived in the Holdingford area since 1935. Eddie worked as a farmer his entire life. He also was a school bus driver, as well as a milk truck and bulk tank driver for Nentl's and the Holdingford Creamery. He was an active member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church where he volunteered as an usher for over 35 years, and a trustee for over 8 years.

Eddie will forever be remembered as a selfless, compassionate, and hard working family man. He made a point to put others before himself his entire life. Eddie always enjoyed life. In their early years as a couple, Rita and Eddie loved frequenting social events such as neighbors house parties, dance halls, and card parties. They were also known for being quite the polka dancers. Music was a part of his life. He thoroughly enjoyed playing the guitar, trumpet, and harmonica. He also had a passion for sports, especially baseball and boxing. He will also be remembered for his unique sense of humor and strong hand shake. "Put her in the vice." What gave Eddie the most joy in life was his family. He treated each of his children and grandchildren as individuals which he loved so very much.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Rita Krych, Holdingford; his children Joseph (Karen) Krych, Plymouth; Jerome Krych, Sartell; Janet Berscheid, Foley; James (Jan) Krych, Holdingford; Jeffery (Ann) Krych, Holdingford; his 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Agnes Krych, his step-father John Marsolek, his brothers Peter, Stanley, Ted, and Leo Krych, his sister Frances Thomsen, step sister Agnes Marsolek-Jendro, step brother Albert Marsolek, and infant sisters Amilia and Eleanor Krych.
