ESTHER M PUETZ
Esther M. Puetz, 82, of 723 Sheboygan St., Kiel, joined her Lord and her husband on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2000 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, where she was a resident for one day. She is the former Esther Keuler, born July 8, 1918 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Alvin and Anna Giesen Keuler. She was a graduate of New Holstein High School. On June 16, 1937, Esther married Edwin Puetz at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein. The couple owned and operated the former Puetz Motor Sales Ford & Mercury in Kiel until 1980. Her husband, Edwin, preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1983.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, Christian Womens Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Federated Womens Club of Kiel, a former Girl Scout leader, Kiel Historical Society and was a member of several area card clubs. Esther enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her family and many friends at her Cedar Lake cottage.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Jackie) Puetz, rural Kiel, Janet (Donald) Baus, Englewood Fla, and Cedar Lake; six grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
