Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hicks was born July 30, 1943 in Terre Haute, Indiana and she lived the early years of her life there. She moved to Napier Field in 1968 and resided in the Wiregrass area for the past forty-five years.
Mrs. Hicks was in management in the retail industry and she loved to spend time with her family and her grandchildren, especially the youngest Zoie and Sawyer.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, her son, her three daughters, 11 grandchildren; her brother, Ronnie Irwin; her sisters, Sandy Parson, Kathy Kintner, and Debbie (Dale) Haymaker; her sister-in-law, Helen Hicks; her son-in-law, Kevin Harvill; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry and Carol Hicks; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pall bears will be Lenard Harris, Howard Harris, Wil Harris, Jim Whitehead, A. J. Thompson and Joe Spagne.
