Marilyn E. Harrington (Walker), age 78, of Lockport, entered into rest at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport on Friday, July 10, 2009. Born April 1, 1931 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Roy J. and Mabel (Bassett) Walker, Sr. Marilyn graduated from Royalton-Hartland Schools in 1948. She worked at the Mt. View Health Care Facility as a nurse's aide during the 1980's. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, calling Bingo at the Autumn Gardens on Wednesday and gardening and baking. She had lived in Lockport the past 20 years, previously of the Newfane and Gasport areas. She is survived by her children James (Cathy) Harrington of Lockport, and Barbara (Alfred) Aston of Alamogordo, New Mexico; grandmother of Donna, Darcy, Diane, Ross and Ginger; sister of Leon Walker of Middleport, Willard "Stub" Walker of Gasport, Roy J. Walker, Jr. of Gasport, and the late Donald, Carl, Raymond, George, Emily and Viola; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive her. There will be no prior visitation, services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, Gasport, NY.
