The daughter of Charles and Alvina Heitmann Baumann, born Aug. 13, 1888, Rock Island, married D. C. Ward later married A. Hart Shield; died at Muscatine General Hospital following an extended illness.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Edward ( Lorraine) Freers, of Muscatine, a brother, Carl Baumann of Rock Island.
In addition to both husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
