Mr. and Mrs. Jay Adkins returned to Brownsburg, Indiana Sunday after being called here by the illness and death of his half-brother, Mr. Firm Adkins, who departed this life at his home near Bent on Thursday, January 22, at the age of 79. He was buried Sunday in Pine Thicket Cemetery near his home. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H.J. Ridner and the Rev. Ewell Hargis. We extend sympathy to the relatives.

We wish to extend our sympathy to the Adkins family of Bent in the death of their husband and father, Mr. Furman Adkins. Mr. Adkins was the father of the late Lou Emma Cooke and had made many friends in this community.
