Mrs. Ruby Lee Gooch Grizzle Payne age 99 of N. Jones Creek Rd. Blairsville passed away on Friday December 6, 2013 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Payne was born on October 29, 1914 in Waxahachie, TX., the daughter of the late John Henry Gooch and the late Eliza Ann Davis Gooch. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. Mrs. Payne loved fishing, gardening, flowers and sewing, She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Leaford Grizzle and her late husband, Arnold Cline Payne. Mrs. Payne was a member of New Union Baptist Church.
