Harvey Ray, Jr. of London, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born May 26, 1955, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Georgia Mae "Cleo" Adkins Ray and Harvey Ray, Sr. He had been a resident of The Heritage since June 2003.

Harvey was a former Westinghouse employee, a volunteer of the Keavy Fire Department, a deacon at Locust Grove Christian Church and a coach of many softball teams for the Keavy DAV League.

Survivors include Tammy Wooten Ray; two sons: Scott Ray and wife Kate of Lake City, Florida, and Travis Ray of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren: Bryson Ray, Greenlee Ray, and Bridger Ray: three sisters: Marie Burkhart and husband Alton, Betty Robinette, and Trulla Harris; one brother: Raymond Wilson; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sybil and Roy C. Wooten; sister-in-law, Beatrice Wooten Messer and husband Jeff; special nieces, Sierra "Lucy" Messer and Maddie "Mae" Messer, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 8, 2013, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rob Hale and Ernie Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery with members of the Keavy Volunteer Fire Department and Locust Grove Christian Church serving as pallbearers.

The family of Harvey Ray, Jr., will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at 3:00 P.M. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
