Bishop Perry was born on April 17, 1949 in Lufkin and died on November 29, 2013 in Lufkin.
Bishop Dixon had many religious affiliations. On October 13, 1979, he became a Elder through Bishop C.C. Berry, Jr. at The Church of The Living God. He received his Pastoral License on August 8, 1988 from Bishop Curtis Gray at the First Pentecostal Church. Later in 1990, he was ordained as Bishop by Bishop Kendrick Morris, at the First Pentecostal Church, lasting until his demise in 2013. Bishop Dixon pastored many churches throughout the East Texas Area, The Church of The Living God on Culverhouse, Lufkin, Texas, The Church of The Living God in Seven Oaks, Texas, Church of The Living God in Lanesville, Texas, and his own church, Free Spirit Church in Lufkin, Texas. His livelihood consisted of his employment at Lufkin Foundry for twenty years plus, and working as a self employed plumber. Bishop Dixon loved Church and was a very family oriented individual, who loved spending quality time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, and his many friends in Christ.
Survivors: his children, Perry Dixon, Jr. (Alma), Yolanda (Victor) Todman, Eric Dixon, Misty (Christopher) Duirden, Jeremy (Wilicia) Dixon and Crystal Dixson; grandchildren, Desirae, Cierrean, Perry III, Darius, Aniyanna, Demetrius, Tyesha, Chadwick, Crystal, Christopher, Jr., Christian, Journiya, Willow, Anthony, Jr., Trevion and Kendall; great- grandchild, Annalise Branch; Sibilings. Betty (John) Jackson, Willie (Georgea) Calvin, Sadie Morrison, Oscar, Jr. (Peggy) Dixon and Jerry Sr. (Loraine) Dixon; special friends, Bishop Thomas Ward and Pastor D.L. Washington; Church Mother, Inez Robinson. Many other friends and his extended church family.
