Born in Pittsfield on May 18, 1931, she was the daughter of Ralph and Rose (Mancuso) Bianco. She attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School with the Class of 1949.
She was employed at the Massachusetts Department of Public Welfare in Pittsfield for several years and was last employed at the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield.
She enjoyed reading, baking, shopping, traveling, dancing and going to the theater with her husband. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a beloved and devoted mother and friend, who touched many people's lives and will be sadly missed by many.
Her husband of 47 years, Edward Dennis Lynch, who she married Oct. 24, 1953, died July 29, 2000.
She leaves a daughter, Patricia DeGroat of Pittsfield; a son, William Lynch of San Francisco, Calif.; four grandchildren, Bianca DeGroat, Chantal DeGroat, Giovanni Lynch and Luke Pearson; three sisters, Margaret Marby of Pittsfield, Theresa Viscuso of Pittsfield and Mary Welle of North Adams; a brother, Peter J. Bianco of the state of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Jean Lynch, died June 5, 2000. A son, Timothy Lynch, died March 20, 2001. A brother, Francis J. Bianco, also is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Lynch will be celebrated Saturday, March 20, 9 a.m., at St. Charles' Church, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor, officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield.
There are no calling hours.
