Neil Thomas Fisher Sr.

Neil Thomas Fisher Sr., of Kingston, 62 passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at home, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Juliann Lapchak Fisher, his children, Neil T. Jr., Kacie M. Voloshin and husband Dan, and Ryan P., his sister, Marya Fisher, Brother Thomas and wife Phyllis, and many wonderful in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose V. and Florence M. Keating Fisher, of Kingston.

Neil was born on December 29, 1950, in Kingston. He graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in 1968 and received a B.S. degree from Wilkes College in 1990. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force form 1968 to 1972. He spent the rest of his career serving veterans at the V.A. Medical Center in WIlkes-Barre. He retired in the spring of 2009 after completing 40 years of service. He sis past commander and former chaplain of American Legion Post 395, and was a lifetime member of St. Ignatius Parish.

Funeral services will be provided by the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston, at 9:30 a.m. Monday; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kingston.

Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.
