Obituary - Morris Burton (Bob) Blamires, died February 16, 1990 in an Ogden hospital following an extended illness.

Born February 9, 1909 in Kaysville, Utah, a son of Robert and Carolyn Blamires. On August 8, 1936, he married Lillian Harris in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 10, 1944.

He graduated from Davis High School and later attended LDS Business College and Utah State Agriculture College. He was employed many years in office work as: timekeeper for California Packing Corp., in Ogden and Franklin, Idaho; office manager for Smith Canning Company in Pendleton, Oregon; auditor for Malheur County in Vale, Oregon; and office manager for Cahoon Construction Company in Pocatello, Idaho. He was a licensed real estate salesman.

A member of the LDS Church, he served on the High Council in Union Stake in LaGrande, Oregon. He also worked in the MIA as stake Y Men leader, stake YM Secretary and ward superintendent. He filled a stake mission in Pocatello, Idaho. At the time of his death he was a high priest in the Roy 6th Ward.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan, two brothers, three sisters, Burton Blamires, Robert LeRoy Blamires, Marie Barber, Jean Blamires, and Nora Ivie. Surviving are his wife, Lillian, Roy; two sisters, Corene Wadsworth, Ogden; Josephine McFadden, St. George; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be Monday from 6-8 p.m., Layton Lindquist Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield, Layton, Utah. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to services, 10 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
