Services: A funeral service for Earl will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge with Rev. Larry Mose officiating.

Visitation: A visitation will take place on Friday, November 22nd from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Earl W. Weiss, age 85 of Iron Ridge, WI, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mayville.

A funeral service for Earl will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge with Rev. Larry Mose officiating. A visitation will take place on Friday, November 22nd from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery in Iron Ridge. A luncheon will follow the burial at St. Matthews School Hall in Iron Ridge.

Earl was born on November 12, 1928 in Tn. Williamstown to Albert and Leona (Villwock) Weiss. He was a 1945 graduate of Mayville High School. He was united in marriage to Geraldine D. Fink on May 27, 1951 at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Kekoskee, WI. Together with his wife Gerry, they farmed in Tn. Hubbard.

He was an active member of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge. He was an honorary member of the Iron Ridge Fire Department and a member of the Dodge Co. A.S.C.S. Earl helped organize the Iron Ridge Recreation Club. In his spare time he was an avid sports fan and loved to play cards. He was also a long time area bartender.

Earl is survived by his wife of 62 years- Geraldine ‘Gerry' of Iron Rige. His children- Diane (Donald) Koch of Mayville, Gloria (Robert) Lukasiewicz of Hartford, Ruth (David) Mamerow of Iron Ridge, and Neil (Julie) Weiss of Iron Ridge. His brother – Gerald Weiss of Horicon. His 14 grandchildre- Steven (Jenny) Koch, Valerie (David) Traylor, Pamela (Al) Iwen, Trisha (Eric) Barber, Kristin Lukasiewicz, Sara (Special Friend Ian Schwandt) Lukasiewicz, Mike Mamerow, Lindy (Mike) Frechette, Andrea (Josh) McDermott, Matt (Nicole) Straveler, Melissa (Nick) Gudex, Amy (Randy) Mihalko, Tammy Weiss, and Kimberly (Fiancé Dave Fine) Weiss. His 15 great grandchildren-Amelia, Bethany, Autumn, Thomas, Tia, Maria, Katlyn, Becca, Jillian, Carter, Allie, Easton, Emily, Cassandra, and Jonathon. 3 step great grandchildren- Jordan, Mikayla, and Ryan. In laws Arlene Bonack & Richard (Dorothy) Fink, further survived nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by- his parents, his sister- Phyllis Bogenschneider, 2 brothers in law- Willard Bogenschneider and Gilbert Bonack, and 1 sister in law- Liz Weiss.
