NUTTER FORT — Jackie Myles "Jack" McCoy, 72, of Stonewood, WV, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born in Lewisburg, WV, on Feb. 25, 1941, a son of the late Lawrence McCoy and Maude Violet Spinks McCoy.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Varney McCoy, who resides at their residence. Also surviving are one son, Brian McCoy and wife, Emily; three siblings, Hilda Davis Jimmie McCoy and wife, Imogene and Johnnie McCoy and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Jesse McCoy, Bertie Ayers and Mary Summerline.
He was a graduate of Lewisburg High School and retired as an inside sales representative for HAJOCA Corporation. He attended the Old Time Baptist Church in Clarksburg, loved to bowl and was an avid sports fan.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV, on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, from 2 - 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the Old Time Baptist Church, 318 Harrison St., Clarksburg, WV 26301.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, with Pastor Leonard Ludwick presiding. Interment will follow at the Stonewall Park Cemetery.
