Funeral Services for Mr. Michael Wayne Cooley, age 55, of Alexander City, will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Bass Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Alex. City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 PM, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Bass Funeral Home.

Mr. Cooley passed away on December 4, 2013 in Birmingham, AL. He was born in Tallapoosa County on January 26, 1958 to Joel Lavon Cooley and Edna Mae Price Cooley. He was a painter at Hi_Tech Painting and Drywall for most of his life. He was also a member of Bethel Full Gospel Church and a member of the Tired Old Men's Club.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laura Ann Cooley of Alex. City; one son, Michael Elijah Cooley of Alex. City; two daughters, April Cooley Still (Kevin) and Jennifer Cooley Parker (Tyler) all of Alex. City; two brothers, James Cooley of Hollins, AL and David Cooley of Kellyton, AL; two sisters, Donna Jo Carroll of Opelika, AL, Debra Sue Carpenter of Texas; three grandchildren, Lilly Beth Speake, Kathryn Still and Gracie Speake.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joel & Edna Cooley and two brothers, Randy and Edward Cooley.
