Obituary;
Rev. Edd R.Willis age 88 of Oakdale passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was an ordained Minister for over 50 years and pastored several local churches in the area. He was also a World War II Disabled Veteran having received a Purple Heart with a Leaf and Three Bronze Battle Stars.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Nick and Lummie Headrick Willis, his wife: Mary Summers Willis and several brothers and sisters.
Rev. Willis is survived by Daughter: Pat and Mack Hill of Clinton; Three Sons: Eddie Willis and Karen Sparks, Benny and Pam Willis and Tim and Tammie Willis all of Oakdale. 14 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; One Sister: Thelma "Ginger" Kelly of Sevierville. Sisters-in-law: Louise Powell and Helen Willis; Brother-in-law : Bill and wife Mona Summers of Oakdale; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Wayne Nelson and Bro. Ralph Nance officiating.
A Graveside will be held Monday, December 9, 2013 in the Pine Orchard Cemetery, Oakdale at 11:00 AM.
