Pearce was born the son of Abren & Alice Calvert Bramel. His early life was spent on a Kentucky farm. At the age of twenty he came to Odebolt, IA and worked on a Cook farm. In 1911 he came to Minnesota and worked on the Wavertree Ranch. Since 1929 he has farmed the M.J. Dickson farm east of Dundee.
Pearce was united in marriage to Mary Alice Duncan on November 1, 1937. To them two sons were born, the first dying in early infancy. The second, Terry, lived on the Dickson farm from which Pearce & Mary retired in 1960. There are two grandsons. Surviving also, besides his wife, son, and grandsons, are one brother, David of Stamping Ground, KY; and two sisters, Kathryn (Roy) Blackburn of Ormond Beach, FL and Ella (James) McHatton of Aberdeen, OH.
Pearce was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one half-brother, and three half-sisters.
Pearce was a member of the Lutheran Church and a good worker in its parish. He was known for his kindness and his courtesy to everyone.
