He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Chris Barrs Evans, his two step-children; Brandi Bodie (Todd) and Ryan Scott, his grandchildren; Jamie Evans, Shellie Cherry, Carys Bodie and Carsyn Bodie.
His extended family includes brother-in-law, Randy Barrs (Lynda), sisters-in-law, Jackie Youngblood (Gary), Karen Davis, and Diane Carnes (Tim), as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Enid Evans, sister, Jeanette Hannon, his sons, Paul Evans Jr. and George Evans and his daughter-in-law, Eileen Evans.
A special thank you to his nurse who became "family" Jessica McPherson.
Mr. Evans had retired from Carbonic Industries after many years of service. He served in the U. S. Army as an MP in Washington, D. C. and one of his assignments was standing guard for General Eisenhower before he became President. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church.
A private graveside service will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Carnes officiating.
