Mrs. Allene Huff
Greer -- Mrs. Allene Hunsinger Huff, 56, wife of D. B. Huff and resident of 8 Park Street, Apalache, died enroute to the local hospital Wednesday morning at 12:30 following a long illness.
Mrs. Huff was born and reared in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late William and Martha Sudduth Hunsinger. She was a member of Milford Baptist Church.
Surviving beside her husband are two daughters, Mrs. K. T. Blackwell, Apalache, Mrs. Woodrow Blalock, Taylors; two sons, Sgt. William P. Huff, Fort Belvoir, Va., and Litmon Huff, Apalache; two sisters, Mrs. Lila J. Pettus, and Mrs. Estelle Patton, both of Spartanburg, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Wood Mortuary by the Revs. Hubert Finley and Vernon Galloway. Burial will be in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Roy McCoy, Adolphe Hannon, Bomar Koon, Joe Beeks, Harold Ashmore, Lester Ellers. The body is at the mortuary and the family is at the home, No. 8 Park Street, Alalache [sic] Mill.
