Jeff was shown as proprietor, with W T Perkins shown as Notary and R R Bertrand as Surveyor. Around 1900, he was a Deputy Sheriff, and later, Sheriff of Wanette, OK. He and his brother, Charlie, owned a store with a millinery shop in Wanette.
