Funeral services for Sidney Jenell Apple, 79, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, December 7 at 2 PM in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 PM and again Saturday 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Apple passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 9, 1934 in Clarendon, Texas to the late Charles Chasten and Johnnie Mae Morgan Walls.
She was a member of First Assembly of God all her adult life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, Doyle Adams, Gene Walls, Kent Walls and Argie Clark.
Mrs. Apple is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lewis Apple of Cookeville; son Jonathan Apple and wife Lynell of Cookeville, daughter Jennie Stewart and husband Douglas of Yuma, AZ, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Vernell Grantham and Mary Shine of Fort Worth, TX and a brother, Charlie Walls of Colorado Springs, CO.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
