Sweetwater, TN - Mrs. Martha Richesin, aged 78, died while sitting in her chair on the porch Wednesday morning August 16 on Pond Creek three miles from this city. She had been in feeble health for a year. She was a member of a prominent family, and was born and reared within three miles of where she died. She was a devout member of the Methodist Church. Six sons survived her: William, John, James, Jesse, Robert, and Henry Richesin and one daughter and host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. Her husband died 5 years ago.

Funeral services were conducted from the residence on Thursday by Reverend J. L. Bachman after which the body was taken to New Hope cemetery.
