On Jan 29, 2007, Jesus called and Debbie Marie Howery Davidson (better known as Sissy) answered his call. She died at Tazewell Community Hospital. She was a resident of Tazewell, Va. and was a woman who was committed to her faith in the good Lord above. Debbie was always quick to lend a helping hand; her presence on this earth will be greatly missed but never forgotten, we know that God called her on up to Glory.
She was preceded in death by her father; Mose "Spud" Howery; two brothers, Keith Howery and Bill Howery; one nephew, Blake Howery.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Davidson of Monroe, N.C.; her mother, Mary Howery of Tazewell, Va.; sister, Wanda Davis and husband, Mike of Tazewell; brother, Greg Howery and fiancée, Kayla Young of Tazewell; sister in law, Mrs. Bill (Jeanie) Howery of Tazewell; special nieces, Melissa Cochran and husband, Randy of Rawl and Christy Myers (wife of the late Alan Myers) of Tazewell County, Va.; one nephew, B.J. Howery of Tazewell; and the lights of her life, great nephews, Hagen Cochran, Brannon Cochran, and Cade Myers; great nieces, Jayden Myers, Kelsey Howery and Madison Howery; and an excepted arrival in the late summer of another new addition.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Rev. Barry Absher officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Thompson Valley, Va. Pallbearers will be Randy Cochran, Eddie Mitchum, Gary Stone Jr., Michael Howery, Mike Davis, Tony Pruett, Mark Wynegar, and Steve Pike.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday (today), Jan. 31, 2007.
