Rita D. Boone Daniels, 72, Indianapolis passed away on November 28, 2013 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

A 1959 graduate of Emmerich Manuel High School, she earned a bachelor degree from Ball State University in 1964 and a Master of Arts degree from Indiana University in 1976. An active member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and the national Baptist Convention, she was an educator in the Indianapolis Public School and Warren Township School systems for over 30 years.

Visitation will be Friday, December 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stuart Mortuary Chapel. On Saturday, there will be viewing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 49 years, Dallas K. Daniels, Jr; son, Dallas K., III; daughters, Alicia (Anthony, Sr.) Weatherington and Jaime (Terance) Smith; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Jr., Tony Ashon, Zoe, Ayanna and Makenzie; mother, Margaret Thomas Bryant Anderson; brother, Charles A. Boone; sister, Felecia Triggs and aunts, Madie Goens and Pearl and Georgia Thomas.

Memorial contributions should be directed to Cancer Center at Community North-Community Regional Cancer Care North or the Betsy Project.
