Jessica Diane Alford, 30, of Shepherdstown, passed away to her heavenly home while surrounded by the thoughts and prayers of her family and friends, on November 28, 2013. She was born September 27, 1983. She was a member of Sousanah Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her father, Kenny (Mary) Alford of Ona; mother, Libby (Dennis) Nester Smith of Shepherdstown; step-sister, Janelle (Chris) Colt of Flatwoods, Ky.; step-brother, Doug (Cindy) Booth of Salt Rock; special sister and friend, Cindi (Robbie) Whitmore; and three special nieces, Allina, Cassidy, Madison of Shenandoah Junction; and a host of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bruce "Bun" and Jessie Settle Alford; maternal grandparents, Ray Nester and Mary Pullen Nester; special cousin, Travis Prichard.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Sousanah Freewill Baptist Church, Culloden. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Handley Funeral Home in Hamlin
