Bridget Loretta Reynolds Portland, OR Formerly of East Lansing, MI Our beloved and treasured daughter, sister and aunt passed away on Jan. 2, 2013. Bridget was born on Jan. 22, 1986 in East Lansing, MI. She moved to Portland, OR in 2008 where she was currently a student at Portland State University. She is survived by her parents Joseph and Elaine Reynolds; her sisters, Julie (Aaron) Picot, Angela (William) Mills, Rose Reynolds; her brothers Matthew Reynolds, Bryan (Katy) Reynolds; her nieces Annika Reynolds, Jada Mills, Stella Reynolds; her nephews Alder Reynolds, Kaleb Mills, Joseph Reynolds. Bridget's sweet heart and kind disposition will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. In tragically too short a period of time, Bridget managed to touch many lives. As a daughter she brought sunlight to her parents and as a sister she was a faithful friend, confidant, rock, council, and supporter. She had a passion for life that reverberated in her art and her writing. This passion and warmth can be felt in a poem she wrote as a child: "Joy is a very wonderful thing. Joy touches the heart in a loving way. You always have joy in heaven. A dove is a loving joy and peace symbol. The angels in heaven have so much joy they always are singing a joyful song "Joy to the World". Those little things like roses bring joy to most everyone." Bridget, you too brought joy to everyone, and it was by no little measure. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your love and memory will stay with all of us. Thank you for bringing such a bright light into all of our lives. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wed, Jan. 9, including a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Resurrection Church, 1531 East Michigan Ave, Lansing. The Funeral Mass will be concelebrated by Fr. Steve Mattson and Fr. Bill Ashbaugh on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Resurrection Church. Visitation will be held before the Mass on Thursday at the Church beginning at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bridget's name to the Infant of Prague Carmelite Monastery, 3501 Silver Lake Rd, Traverse City, MI 49684 or to St. Vincent Catholic Charities, 2800 West Willow Street, Lansing, MI 48917.
