Pat Bone, (aka "Grambo") 88, of Grass Valley, California passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 1st 2013, at the Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital.
Pat was born in Minneapolis Minnesota, November 6th 1925 to William & Alice (Scholl) Heairet. She grew up on the family farm in Watkins Minnesota with her 5 Siblings, Lucille, Bill, Aloha, Darrell and Lamont. She attended Litchfield High School, in Litchfield Minnesota.
Her first marriage was at the end of World War II in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune, to Harry Turner, on April 13th 1945. After living in Minnesota and South Dakota with their 4 children, they moved to West Covina, California in 1956. In 1960 their marriage ended, and Pat raised her 4 children working many jobs. One of which was being the first Woman Deli Manger of Vons and Shopping Bag Grocery Stores. In 1968 She married Jack Bone. They lived aboard their boat, for 4 years, at both Portofino Inn Marina in Redondo Beach, Ca. and the Marina in Dana Point, California. They moved off of the boat in 1973 eventually moving, in 1980, to a home in Temecula California, to tend an orange grove of 6 acres. Wanting to be closer to her children they moved to Grass Valley, Ca in 2004.
She is survived by her children: Tom and Serene (Obenland)Turner of Nevada City, CA. and Terri Turner of Arlington, Texas. Her Grandchildren: Jesse Kiefer , Tia Turner (Don Stanfield), Bevin (Corey) Lee and their mother MaryAnn Turner, Michael (Jenna Corona Dugger) Turner , Cassandra (Lee) Turner, JJ (Rebecca Ferrell) Santos, Patrick Santos and their father Joe Santos (Vicky Komer), Alicia-Chandra (Matt) Bielski, Dustin (Beth DiNolo) Kerksieck and Scott (Savannah) Kerksieck. And her Great Grandchildren: Travis, Zachary, Cameron, Kayla, Christian, Jayce, Alexis, Deegan, Blaze, Pierce, Skylar, Sophie Rose. She is survived by her sister Aloha Swenson and sister-in-laws, Donna (Paul) Heairet, Evelyn (Knutson) Heairet and Donna (McCarney) Heairet. And all of her loving nephews and nieces.
She is predeceased by: Her husband Jack Bone. Her son Mike Turner and daughter Mary Jo Turner Santos and siblings (except for Aloha) mentioned above.
Pat loved her family so much. She had a great love for gardening. And she left a legacy of being someone who was never afraid of getting her hands dirty and working tirelessly when it was needed. She will be missed by everyone for her fiery spirit and the single/unique mold that she came from.
