Jimmy Lee Farmer, age 62, of Franklinville died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Mr. Farmer was a native of Randolph County and the owner of Jim's Taxidermy. Jim was avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also coached baseball and softball in Randleman and enjoyed watching wrestling. His grandchildren , whom he loved, held the keys to his heart.

He is survived by his wife: Darlene Johnson Farmer of the home; daughters: Shannon Lea Wilson of Asheboro and Sherry Currin of Randleman; son: Wesley Ray Farmer and his wife Tabatha of Level Cross; grandchildren: Montgomery Wilson, Kayla, Emily, Hunter, Dustin, Austin and Dalton Farmer, and Joshua Myers; brothers: Clay Farmer and his wife Pat of Asheboro, Earn Farmer and his wife Terri of Asheboro, Robert Farmer and his wife Janice of Black Ankle; sisters: Ruth Allred of Asheboro, Betty Bullins and her husband Harry of Asheboro, Peggy Ferris and her husband Butch of Va., Gaynell Mabe and her husband Johnny of Stoneville, and Lorina Goolsby of Stokesdale. Step son, Tim Myers and his wife Beth of Myrtle Beach.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
