Nadyne Webb Deskins Lester, age 83 of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Born September 2, 1930 in Tazewell County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mollie Osborne Webb. She was a big fan of Michael Combs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, first husband Perry Deskins and second husband Fred Lester; one brother, Curtis Webb; three sisters, Doris Rose, Sue Gross and Annis Webb; and one infant son.
She is survived by one daughter, Jackie White and husband Bill of Cedar Bluff, VA;
three sons, Ralph Deskins of Tennessee, Lester Deskins and wife Rhenda of Tennessee and Harold Deskins and wife Susie of Raven, VA;
two sisters, Ester Russell of Bandy, VA and Emma Absher of Raven, VA;
one brother, Jennings Webb of Cedar Bluff, VA;
two step sons, Bill Lester and wife Cathy of Raven, VA and Johnny Lester and wife Phyllis of Richlands, VA;
four step daughters, Ann Adkins and husband Jim of Paintlick, VA, Jane Boyd and husband Earl of Richlands, VA, Patty Cook and husband Mike of Rosedale, VA and Lisa Sluss and husband Don of Richlands, VA;
five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Grady McGlothlin and Rev. Jack Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be Jack Davidson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Thursday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
