Leeky Elvira Corn was the daughter of Frank Corn and Lula Hinnard, who show on the 1860 census of Upper Cove, Walker County, Georgia. The Corns had moved to that region from Henderson Co., NC about 1854. She married William Fuller Bailey 1867 in Walker Co., GA. They were living in neighboring Catoosa Co., GA in 1870:

Leeky E. 19/NC
Wm W. 2/GA
Frances M. Hinnard 35/GA
Walter J. Bailey 6/12/GA b. Nov

It appears from the birthplaces reported for the children that the Bailey family moved to Arkansas and the Indian Territory in the early-mid 1870's and by 1880, were located in Marion Co., TN:

W. F. Bailey 35/GA
L. E. Bailey 29/NC

By 1888, the Bailey family returned to Indian Territory and Fort Smith, Arkansas. A dau. Effie Marie Bailey was born 1888 in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) and a son, William F. Bailey, Jr. was born 1889 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. Another dau., Lula Bailey was b. 1891 at Fort Smith, AR.

In 1897, William F. Bailey died at Fort Smith. He is bur. at the City Cemetery (Oak Cem.) with several other family members.

In 1900, they show in Fort Smith with children: Luna 8/AR, Dolores 4/TX, Katherine 1/AR. He had a cousin, Whitlow Wyatt, who also pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers, famously striking out Joe DiMaggio twice in the 1941 World Series.

Wm F. Bailey, Jr. died 1926 of an ruptured blood vessel in his stomach. The informant on his death certificate was his mother, Mrs. L.E. Mclean (shows as McClain).
