Roy entered this world March 10, 1914 to Charles and Bertha (Pennington) Stallings, the first of five boys; Jack, Charles, Ward and Carl and he passed away December 30, 2013 in Springfield, OR at RiverBend Hospital.

Roy was born in Cloud-Croft, NM and at a young age moved to California. When Roy was in grade school, the family moved on to Orland, CA. He met his wife to be, Dorothy Baker, in their senior year of high school. They graduated in June of 1933 and married on June 17, 1934, on his mother-in-law's birthday.

Roy and Dorothy lived in Orland until 1940 where their two oldest children Barbara and Clifford were born. In 1940 they moved to Coburg, OR where their daughter Catherine was born.

Roy was a dairyman, a business owner in Coburg, a logger and construction back-hoe operator in his working career. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Norkenzie Christian Church. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with Dorothy, family and friends. Roy and Dorothy sold the farm in 1961 and moved to Eugene where he lived until his death.

Roy is survived by daughter Barbara McGee of Eugene, OR; son and daughter-in-law Clifford and Carolyn Stallings of Redmond, OR; and daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Ron Culley of North Bend, OR; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and brother Carl. Preceding him in death were his father, mother, three brothers and wife Dorothy of 73 years.

Roy will be deeply missed by family and friends. His family greatly appreciates the care he was given at RiverBend Hospital. There will be no formal funeral service as he was cremated and will be buried in a family plot in Orland, CA with Dorothy at a later date. Family and friends will gather March 8, 2014 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Coburg Grange for a Celebration of Life for him and his wife Dorothy.
