The funeral services of William Henry Morrill, who died at his home in Orland on Sunday morning, were held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the mortuary chapel. The services were conducted by the Rev. W.F. Zander, pastor of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Morrill had been ill for more than a month acute bronchitis having set in after a siege of pneumonia.
The deceased was born in Arkansas September 2, 1849, being thus 80 years 6 months and 15 days old at the time of his death.
When only a small boy he came with his parents to California, where the home of the family has been ever since. Forty-eight years ago this month Mr. Morrill and the wife who survives him were married.
The surviving children are Mrs. A.E. Allington of Woodbridge, Mrs. A. Mitchie of Sacramento, Robert Morrill of Susanville, and Will, Jack and Miss Ina Morrill, of Orland. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery.
