Mrs. Eleanor Rice Bertling, 88, of 3026 Oak Hollow Trail, Franklinville, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Sunbridge of Asheboro.
Interment will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bertling was a native of Elyria, Ohio, and was a retired registered nurse. She was a founding member of Irving Park United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was active in the YWCA.
She is survived by her daughter, Marian B. Riggs and husband, Bill of Franklinville; son-in-law, Mack Edwards of Newport; sister, Elizabeth McCoy of Warren, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Marion H. Bertling and a daughter, Judy Edwards.
