Teddy was born and raised on a farm in the Kittitas Valley near Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington. He didn't want to be a farmer, according to his sister Mable. When electricity first came to Ellensburg, he would help install it in homes that wanted it.
Teddy wrote his sister Mable from San Francisco when he married Frances Morrison. In 1926, when his daughter Ethel was two years old, he returned to Ellensburg.
After his divorce, Teddy married Ethel Gage on May 7, 1933 in Ellensburg. One son and three daughters were born to them, of which two daughters died in infancy.
Teddy died at the age of 75 in Ellensburg. His obituary stated that he and his wife were living at 202 Elliott. He had been a heavy equipment operator in road construction. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge and Teamsters Local 524. He died at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. Survivors included his second wife, Ethel, one son, Lloyd of Ellensburg; two daughters, Evelyn Stradley of Prosser, Ethel Geleta of Azusa, Ca.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Kinkade of Ellensburg; and three sisters, Mrs. Lila Martin of Yakima; Mrs. Mabel Johnston of Tacoma and Ruth of California.
Graveside services were on a Friday afternoon at the IOOF Cemetery with the Eagles Lodge officating. He was buried next to his second wife, Ethel.

Teddy Kinkade, 75, 202 Elliott, died at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. He was born in Ellensburg January 11, 1901. He and Ethel Gage were married here May 7, 1933. Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Lloyd of Ellensburg; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Stradley of Prosser, and Ethel Geleta of Azusa, California; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Kinkade of Ellensburg; and three sisters, Mrs. Lula Martine of Yakima, Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Tacoma, and Ruth of California. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 P.M. at the IOOF Cemetery (Ellensburg, Washington), with the Eagles Lodge officiating.
