Mary Ruth (Bryant) Bradley, born June 2, 1911, in the mountains of Southwest Virginia in Bridle Creek, passed away Sept. 18, 2012, in Harbor Springs, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Cox) Bryant. The family moved to Detroit, Michigan in the late 1920s, where she met and married L. Curtis Bradley in August 1937. In the spring of 1945, they moved to a farm in Gladwin, where she resided until the mid-1990s. During those years, she both maintained a household and worked at the former Goldberg's Department Store. Ruth, in addition to the double career of homemaker and town employment, was very active in the Methodist Church at Wagarville. She is survived by a daughter, Diane and Keith Osborn; and son, David and Bonnie Bradley; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Curtis; brother, Scott Bryant; and sister, Dawn Denecke. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Wagarville United Methodist Church with Rev. Duane Miller presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery.
