Hollie was born in Eureka Springs, AR. He and his twin brother were the youngest of a family of six boys and one girl. He lived in the Southern California area, then moved to the Sacramento area until July of 1973, when he then retired to La Pine, OR. He will be greatly missed by Jeanne, his wife of 50 years, two daughters, Joan Bancroft and Karen Weiss, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2-1/2 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a wonderful family of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Hollie worked for the Civil Service, retiring as a General Machinist after 31 years from Mather AFB. After moving to La Pine, he worked for The State Parks and Recreation Dept. He was a member in good standing of the Free and Accepted Masons of California, Warren G. Harding Lodge #579 of Sacramento. Hollie will be remembered for his zest for life, calm nature, great sense of humor, loving spirit, and love of people. He and his wife Jeanne were active bowlers and loved to travel. All family and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 12:00-1:00 PM and services from 1:00-2:00 PM at MOUNT VERNON MEMORIAL PARK, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Burial will follow immediately after at Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA.
