NEWARK.
John Bourn died at his home east of Shelbyville Wednesday of last week and was buried in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here Friday afternoon. He was a brother of the late R. R. Bourn of this place. He is survived by several children. His wife preceded him in death a number of years ago.

JOHN WILLIAM BOURN.
John William Bourn, son of Benjamin and Anna Bourn, was born June 16, 1858, near LaGrange. He passed away March 16, 1932, at the age of 73 years and 9 months, at the home of his son, Arthur Bourn, east of Shelbyville, with whom he had lived for some time. He grew to manhood at LaGrange, later moving with his parents to Newark, where he was united in marriage to Miss Georgia Elisabeth Sloan. Four children were born to this union, viz.: Mrs. Anna Faw, of Thomas, Oklahoma; Samnel Bourn, of Nappanee, Indiana; Mrs. Myrtle Minor of Keokuk, Iowa, and Arthur Bourn, of Shelbyville, all of whom survive him. His wife preceded him in death twelve years ago. Besides his children and ten grandchildren he leaves a sister, Mrs. Dollie Lewis, of Hunnewell, and a number of other relatives and friends to mourn. At an early age he placed his trust in the Savior and united with the Newark Baptist church. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. T. S. Scott, of Philadelphia, at the home of his son, Arthur Bourn, Friday at 10 a. m. Interment was in the I. O. 0. F. cemetery at Newark. Old friends and neighbors from Philadelphia, Sharpsburg; Shelbyville and LaBelle attended the funeral. Out of state guests were: Mrs. M. M. Bourn and Mrs. G. W. Bourn, of Quincy; Orin Mino, of Keokuk, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hopper, of Thomas, Oklahoma, and Sam Brown, of Nappanee, Indiana.
