Willis Alpha Crofut 84, of Sapulpa passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a short battle with Lung Cancer.

He was born on December 17, 1928 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to Willis Allen and Lily Clara May (Golightly) Crofut.

He grew up in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He met the love of his life while serving in the United States Army and they were married on Valentines Day in 1952.

He worked for Rockwell International and retired as an Aerospace Inspector. He was very creative and could fix anything. He loved to stay busy always doing something. He was a lifelong bowler and spent Tuesdays bowling at Sahoma Lanes in Sapulpa. He also loved to fish and spend time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by; parents; Willis and Clara, spouse; Martha, son; Jeffrey Lynn Crofut, sisters; Ruth Prewitt and Mary Alice Fixico , brothers; David, Billly Ed, and Douglas Crofut.

He is survived by son and wife; daughter and husband; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister; his companion and best friend and her great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, December 9, 2013 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel 1208 So. Main St. in Sapulpa. Interment will follow at South Heights Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
