Mrs. Margerene (Margie) Springer Coleman, 79, of Athens, AL, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Limestone Health Facillity in Athens, Alabama.

Mrs. Coleman was born February 20, 1934 in Limestone County. She was an active member of Shanghai Baptist Church for 50 plus years. She was a homemaker and very active and supportive of her community and church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ralph Coleman; grandson, Luke Mitchell; sister, Frances Campbell; and brothers, Claude Springer and Dewey Springer.

Survivors include daughter, Donna Mitchell and husband Tommy, Athens, AL; sons, Steve Coleman and wife Loretta, Athens, AL, and Ron Coleman and wife Melanie, Athens, AL; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Spry Funeral Home with James Turner officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Point Cemetery.
