Mr. Woody retired from the textile industry and was a member of Ca-Vel Baptist Church. He served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years.
Mr. Woody was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Carr Adams and Dorothy Woody Holeman.
Mr. Woody is survived by his step-daughter, Faye B. Miller and husband Charlie, of Roxboro; one step-grandson, Thomas A. Miller; three step-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Michele Miller, Ashlyn Grace Miller and Andrew Thomas Miller.
Graveside services will be held 3PM Sunday at Person Memorial Cemetery by the Dr. M. David Chambers.
